About Us
Jennifer McCartney is the founder and Head Trainer at Ovation Hall. As a student of world-renowned dressage master, Walter Zettl, for over 30 years, Jennifer continues his legacy through sharing her mentor’s approach to horsemanship and principals of classical dressage. Producing FEI riders and building a career on training horses from green to Grand Prix; Jennifer has earned her own reputation as a coach of coaches.
Jennifer’s first love is Classical Dressage, and it’s the basis of all her training. With biomechanics, balance and position at the core of her approach, her lessons are invaluable to riders and performance horses in all disciplines. Calmness, correctness, and clarity, plus strength, equals success – no matter what the end goal is. With this philosophy, Jennifer is able to offer customized training programs for horses and riders at any level or discipline.
It’s one thing to recognize athletic potential in others, it’s quite another to develop that potential. Jennifer is frequently sought out for her way with riders. Whether it’s breaking down complex ideas, building confidence, or improving communication between horse and human, Jennifer offers a higher quality of instruction for riders who truly want to succeed. Fitness and training programs that evoke more confidence, marked improvements, and ultimately, better riding.
“There is nothing better then to be able to leave your horse somewhere and not have to worry about them. This will be my 3rd horse with Jenn. She has brought back to work two former broodmares of mine, and now has my young stallion to work her magic on. Thank you Jenn for everything you do!”

A New Love
Alongside a lifelong dedication to dressage, Jennifer has also found a deep appreciation for flower farming. The same patience and attention to detail that define her approach to horsemanship now extend to growing sustainable, field-grown blooms. From dahlias to seasonal cut flowers, nurturing the land and watching each flower flourish is a rewarding complement to life with horses.
